From November 25 through November 30, the Outreach Center will be closed for Thanksgiving, and then closed to normal activities.
We are moving!
Our building has been sold, and this gives us the wonderful opportunity to move into another building that will truly meet our needs as the Platte County Senior Outreach Center grows and prospers.
Our new home is the other side of where we have been – at 977 Gilchrist, where the Verizon store was on the corner.
We will have a much larger usable space, and great facilities for all of our activities.
If you can paint, or are willing to help pack and unpack boxes, we welcome your help from Friday, November 27th through Monday, November 30th.
We will not be having any activities other than the move during that time.
We hope to be moved into our new facilities and open for regular activities on Tuesday, December 1, although not quite squared away, which will take a little time.
We are very excited as we have a full kitchen, and room to seat many more people, so no one needs to leave because of crowding.
We will also be serving delicious homemade soup every day – for donation only. Please come by and have some soup on these cold days, or a cup of coffee and a visit!
We will be having our Grand Re-Opening on Monday December 21, from 9-6. Come in and check us out and celebrate with all the hard working volunteers that have made this move and renovation possible!
