dirty deedsKathie Hoffman is directing this season’s hilarious Melodrama – Dirty Deeds at the Depot.

Many, many years ago when Kathie saw her first play “Can Can” she knew then she wanted to act on stage.

As a freshman in high school she did her first full play and fell in love with acting. Throughout the years she has acted and directed plays.

The last play she was in was “Steel Magnolias” playing the role of “Ouiser,” made famous in the movie by Shirley MacLaine.

Kathie has been a judge several times for “Stars of Tomorrow” and the talent show at fair time.

She loves working with kids and encouraging them when they might get a small role and think it is dumb. She will explain why that role is very important to the play.

Kathie is past president of Platte County Players, a position she held for 17 years.

She is past chairman of the Wheatland’s Beautification Committee and helped initiate and organize the Pocket Park.

Kathie also served as treasurer on the board of Project Safe.
