On Tuesday, March 29, a national Commemoration of Vietnam Veterans is being held all across the country.
Every community in every state is having its own celebration.
Platte County will be holding its commemoration at the Senior Outreach Center.
If you are a Vietnam Veteran you will want to attend this special recognition of your service to America. If you know a Vietnam Veteran in Platte County be sure to let him know of this event.
March 29th was chosen by the national committee as the day for the Commemoration because it was the last day that the United States had troops on the ground in Vietnam.
The Commemoration will include the reading of a proclamation by President Obama, and a proclamation by Wyoming Governor Matt Mead.
Time: 9:00 am – 11:00 am.
This ceremony is sponsored in great appreciation of our Vietnam Veterans by the Wheatland chapter of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution).
